All new undergraduate students are assessed a one-time, mandatory New Student Fee of $350 in their first semester of enrollment. It is nonrefundable and charged to your first-semester tuition bill. You are not required to pay this fee upfront in order to attend Orientation.
This fee covers attendance at Orientation, as well as services and programs available to new students during their first year at USC. These include Welcome Week programming and activities, as well as university publications.
The Orientation Guest Fee is a per-person charge for each guest attending the event with the student. Guest fees must be paid at the time of reservation. Fees are also charged for overnight guest housing and Early Arrival accommodations for both students and guests. Students do not pay a separate fee to attend Orientation.
Guest sessions at Orientation are designed for parents, significant others and other adult guests. We do not offer any programming for young children.
