Hear about the safety resources the university offers and what steps you can take to ensure a safe and rewarding experience at USC. Required for all students to attend.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA): Rights and Responsibilities and Emergency Planning
Learn about the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, which protects the privacy of student records and allows students to grant their parents access to certain information. This session also covers USC's emergency procedures.
Student Life Discussions
Meet your Orientation Advisor, a current student who will guide you through the orientation schedule and answer your questions about college life and USC. This session is for students only.
Academic Expectations
Join your academic department to learn about the requirements and policies for your major. This session is required for all students to attend.
Lunch
Connect with your fellow student over lunch with your guests.
Course Registration
Register for your first semester of courses with support from your academic advisor. Course registration may last until 5:00 p.m. so students are advised to not plan on leaving campus before that time.
Student Services Fair
Students and guests will have the opportunity to interact with representatives from campus departments to learn about resources and services available to students. You can also pick up your USCard if you uploaded picture before Orientation.
Paying for College
Learn about fee bill settlement deadlines, payment plans and financial aid options. This session includes important information for all individuals responsible for paying fee bills.
International Students Meeting (Mandatory)
International students will complete Passport Verification. This meeting is mandatory for international students.
