Day Before Orientation
Language Placement Exams
Students who need to take the Language Placement Exam have the option of taking the exam the day before Orientation. Exams begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. Students should report directly to the exam location listed in the online schedule.

Check-in for Orientation and receive your schedule of events, name badge and lanyard. After you check-in, enjoy a continental breakfast.
Campus Tour
Take a brief 15-minute walking tour, highlighting key campus locations, led by an undergraduate tour guide.
Welcome & USC General Session
Begin Orientation with a welcome from USC dignitaries and administrators. This session also covers USC Student Affairs, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), university safety resources and steps all students can take to ensure a safe and rewarding experience at USC.
Orientation Group
Join a small group of other new students and your Orientation Advisor to learn more about USC's campus and traditions.
Academic Expectations
Presented by USC's professional academic advising staff, Academic Expectations details the academic requirements for a USC degree. Students and their guests will attend the Academic Expectations presentation for the major students are admitted to.
Lunch
Students and guests converge for lunch.
Course Registration
Register for your first-semester courses with the help and support of your academic advisors and Orientation Advisors.
Student Services Fair
Students and guests will meet at the Student Services Fair to talk to campus departments about their services. Afternoon refreshments will be available and students can pick up their USCard.
Paying for College
Learn from representatives from Student Financial Services and the Financial Aid Office about fee settlement, payment plans and financial aid - valuable information for all parties responsible for paying fee bills, not only financial aid recipients.
Passport Verification
All international students must attend Passport Verification to learn about important policies and procedures they must follow to maintain their visa status.
Spirit Rally
End your orientation with the Trojan Marching Band and this time-honored tradition! Learn USC's fight song, cheers and traditions that unite Trojans as they Fight On to victory!
Bookstore After Hours
Stop by the Bookstore after Orientation to get all your Trojan gear and enjoy special Orientation-only discounts.

Early Check-in
Check-in for students attending a meeting before the start of Orientation.
Pre-Business & Pre-Engineering Meetings
Students interested in changing their major to the Marshall School of Business or the Viterbi School of Engineering should attend these meetings to learn about the internal admission process. Students already admitted to majors in these schools do not need to attend these meetings.
